Ask Style: How Can I Show My Feet Some Love?

by StyleSpy
Do you have a list of must-have products for feet?
—Kelli, via the Ask Style inbox

Oh, yes. Yes, I do. So many women sorely neglect their feet, content with a simple pedicure every two weeks down at the corner nail shop. And that's fine, for what it's worth. But given how much work they do for us, we spend precious little time treating our feet.

About once a month, consider soothing your soles with a multi-step care package. One of my favorites is the Relief for Tattered Tootsies kit from the Get Fresh spa. It does everything—exfoliates, scrubs, moisturizes, the works. At the end, your feet are supersoft and feel über-pampered. (Spa staple CND has similar products for at-home use that also work wonderfully. They're a modest way to treat yourself without paying spa prices. Viva recessionistas!)

As far as shoes, let's face it: Very few pairs of sexy shoes really fit the way we'd like them to. We face blistering heels, slippery bottoms, sliding toes, everything. Luckily, I've found FootPetals.com, a website that handles all of that through an array of clever insoles and inserts. My personal favorite? Tip Toes. They keep feet from sliding forward in strappy, sweaty, high-heel sandals. Even stars on the red carpet suffer from the creeping toe—but now you don't have to.

H&M's Tips for Shopping Jimmy Choo

by Sydne Summer

On November 14, H&M stores will be flooded with women fighting over the new Jimmy Choo collection. We're guessing it will make the Matthew Wiliamson launch look like small potatoes. Because really, what fashionista wouldn't die over the chance to buy red strappy Jimmy Choo sandals for $99?

The retailer is prepared for chaos. On their site, they've compiled a mini how-to-shop guide, explaining that the first 160 people in line will receive a bracelet that denotes a specific shop time. After two hours, the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection will be open to all customers. But nobody, not even the VIPers, is allowed to buy duplicates of the same product. So, sorry, but you and your friends can't have matching faux-fur jackets unless you shop together—and arrive at the crack of dawn. In New York, one girl got in line the night before in order to make sure she got her manicured paws on the Matthew Williamson collection. Fashion trumps pain when there's a deal of a lifetime.

Makeup Mondays With Mario: Dark Circles & Smoky Eyes

Many of you have some serious issues…beauty issues, that is. And as much as I want to help, I am no expert. So to solve your beauty dilemmas, I’ve called in serious reinforcements.

Celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is answering your burning beauty questions!!! Every Monday, he will answer a beauty/skin care question as part of a weekly column on Spoiled Pretty - aptly named "Makeup Mondays with Mario."

So without further ado...do your thang, Mario!

Hi Mario,

I have a question and would like some advice on my make-up. OK... I naturally have dark circles around my eyes and I love the smokey eye look. However whenever I’ve tried it, it makes my circles appear darker. Is there something I can do about it so that I can achieve the look that I'm wanting or is that something I can’t accomplish because of my imperfections? -LaJuan

Dear LaJuan,

It seems to me that the problem you're having has to do with covering up the dark circles around your eyes, or it could the technique you're using when you do the eye makeup. If done correctly, a smokey eye should not make your "circles" appear darker. Here's what you should do. Start out by applying an eye shadow base or primer to the lid. You can also use your concealer or foundation for this (a shade or two lighter then your skin would be best). Follow with some loose powder to set the base. Now you can go ahead and give yourself a smokey eye which ever way that you prefer. After the lids are done, you now want to clean the under eye area with a makeup wipe to get rid of all the eyeshadow that most likely fell. That could be why it looks more dark to you. Once the under eye area is clean, apply your concealer, blend with a sponge and finish by setting it with a translucent loose powder. This will also prevent the liner along the lower lash line from smudging. ;-)

xo,
Mario
