Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Blossom Rose Bag

The Valentino Blossom Rose Bag is the perfect example of subtle touches of a floral design on a light leather looking classic and sophisticated. My only real qualm with this handbag is the gold snake skin trim on the handles. It looks a little cheap and really kills this bag being a 100% divine hit for me. I would have preferred tonal leather handles. The eye catcher, the front pleated into a rosette, really is alluring. While this bag is available in black, it does not showcase the rosette as well, so I would definitely opt for pink. Buy both the black and pink version at Saks for $1895.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Jimmy Choo Mona Large Tote: Fab or Drab?

I have chosen not to pass judgment on this bag, rather let you all make the decision. We all know the Jimmy Choo Ramona, Mahala, and Clutch have garnered a following. But what about this Mona? The Jimmy Choo Mona Large Tote features a black leather and suede body with gold hardware. The tote sports a zip fastening around the middle, which makes this bag act as an accordion, being able to lengthen or compact at the middle. By undoing the central zip, the bag becomes larger and will expose the logo plaque. The inside is lined in suede and has lilac ribbon trim. Buy through Net A Porter for $1,995.

D.S Pick of the Day: Sergio Rossi Leather Over-the-Knee Boot

Sergio Rossi boot is so beautiful and luxurious, and I love the thin 4-inch heel. I also like the cut-away detail on the top of this boot. I would think it would make walking a little bit easier, since your knee will have a little bit more room to move.

I am so ready for fall, so that I can wear boots again! I would pair these boots over skinny jeans or wear them with dresses or skirts. They will look especially beautiful with creams and browns. If you’re worried about a bulky jean under these boots, try these amazing Current-Elliott legging jeans!

D.S Pick of the Day: Chloe Tied Leather Over-the-Knee Boot

The sweltering heat and humidity where I live continues to make me desperate for cool fall weather, and it’s only the beginning of June!! I have no idea how I’m going to stand it for several more months. But, today I’m going to dream of cooler weather, and we’re going to talk about boots! Even if the weather wasn’t so horrendous, I would be ready for fall with all of the gorgeous boots I’ve seen lately. First up is this amazing Chloe over-the-knee boot.

Besides the gorgeous, luxurious calf leather, the stand-out feature on this boot is the leather crisscross tie detail. It really does look amazing running up the boot and finishing in an imperfect bow. I like that these boots are flat because it makes them a little more wearable and versatile. And really it will depend on how you pair them whether they are dressy or not, but unlike some boots with high heels, you can dress these down. They will look fabulous over skinny jeans with a simple shirt or a sweater when it gets colder for a casual look or put them on with a top or jacket with a little more structure and you can wear them to work (if you work somewhere where jeans are allowed). I’d also pair them with skirts or dresses and tights. Basically you can’t go wrong with these boots, and they will instantly transform even the most boring outfit making it effortlessly chic!
