Kim K's Blog: My Winning Oscars Beauties

It was all about metallics and strapless dresses at the Oscars Sunday night I was loving all the pretty golds and silvers on the red carpet... so glamorous! I picked these six ladies as my favorite red carpet looks.

Miley Cyrus: Miley looks so mature in her gold Jenny Packham dress and the color worked perfectly with her skin tone. She definitely dressed appropriately for the event and held her own next to the older celebrities! I love her up-do, too... very elegant.

Cameron Diaz: This strapless silver tulle Oscar de la Renta dress is so gorgeous! Really classic and I love Cameron's loose waves and minimal makeup... really classy, simple and chic. This is probably my favorite look.... everything just works together perfectly.

Demi Moore: I love the color and cut of Demi's Versace dress. It reminds me of the layered dress Penelope Cruz wore at the 2007 Oscars. Her hair looks really natural and classic. Can you believe she's in her 40s!?

Kate Winslet: This Yves St. Laurent corset-style top and skirt are to die for! They made Kate's figure look amazing.

Sandra Bullock: Perfection. She literally looks like a walking Oscar in her Marchesa dress, so it makes perfect sense she won the Best Actress award. Her sleek hair and red lips are very Old Hollywood, too... which I love.

Sarah Jessica Parker: Love this vintage Chanel floaty gold dress! It kind of has a Grecian vibe. She chose the perfect jewelry too... just layered bracelets and earrings. With all that beading on he dress, too much jewelry would have been overwhelming.

Whose looks did you love!?

Tips on How to Rock a Big Oscar Bun

TREND: Big Buns

WHO'S WEARING IT: Mo'Nique, Nicole Richie, Sarah Jessica Parker

HOW TO WEAR IT: The key to pulling off the pulled back 'dos we saw at the Oscars is to keep it simple says Joseph Chase, hairstylist at the Argyle Salon & Spa. So that means no dramatic flowers like the Best Supporting actress winner—or a massive "overdone" SJP bun.

When copying the style at home, channel Nicole and start off with a smoothing serum for sleek shine. Once your hair is pulled back and set, don't forget the hairspray. It's important to choose a product that's workable to avoid that awful crunchy look. When Joseph was creating updos for Oscar parties yesterday, he used Oribe Superfine Hair Spray ($29), which he says creates a flawless finish.

National Arts and Humanities Medal Ceremony

Sarah was recently recognized by President Obama for the National Arts and Humanities Medal Ceremony, and she was at the White House for the ceremony. She looked gorgeous in a pink Victoria Beckham dress. Thanks to Holly, who helps me out with Only Alexis Bledel, for some of the images!

Sarah Jessica Parker & Michelle Obama in the (White) House!

Technically, Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Obama were in the same room last night for the National Arts Humanities medal ceremony, but we're just going to pretend that the huge fashion icons were having some girl time. OK? Both women even wore eye-popping frocks. SJP had on a coral number by Victoria Beckham and the first lady rocked a violet Jason Wu polka dot dress. See?! They gotta be BFFs since they must've called each other beforehand to coordinate outfits. Thanks for indulging our midday Friday fantasy!

SJP Auctions off SATC2 Premiere Tickets

Looks like Sarah will not be attending the Sex and the City 2 premiere, all for a good cause .

Sarah Jessica Parker may be missing the premiere of “Sex and the City 2″ — and it’s not because the actress is too busy or has better things to do.

Carrie Bradshaw’s alter ego has donated her tickets to the event to the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual) cause in an auction for $11,000! Hollywood Life reports that the tickets were auctioned off at the Human Rights Campaign’s 9th annual gala at NYC’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Feb. 6.

Sarah Jessica was not the only star on hand at the event who took part in the auction. “Ugly Betty” star Michael Urie auctioned off a dinner date with himself (kisses included!). “Real Housewives of New York City” mother hen Jill Zarin and “Project Runway” mentor Tim Gunn donated a joint day of lunch and shopping to the highest bidder.

Jill was introduced as “the LGBT community’s favorite housewife” and kicked off the event by expressing her support of the cause. “I can’t stand the fact the LGBT Americans are still being treated like second class citizens,” she declared, garnering cheers and applause from the crowd.

The lucky bidder who snagged the “SATC 2″ tickets will have to wait until the Spring to check out the premiere, but we’re sure they are already planning their fabulous outfit!

Diane de Maria Bonnie Bag

Sometimes all a designer needs is an A-list celeb to be spotted carrying their bag before their name and designs are being seen, heard, and sought after. That is what is happening with designer Diane de Maria right now. After Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted toting the same hot pink bag, we tracked down the designer and bag, finding out it is the Diane de Maria Bonnie Bag.

Diane de Maria comes from an artistic background, as she is the great-granddaughter of famed painter Pierre de Maria. Her collection of bags infuses her artistic background with her travels, the passage of time, and reconciliation of the past and the future. Upon first glance the engraving in each design is hard to recognize, but upon closer inspection the geometric lines are clear.

The shape of the Bonnie Bag is similar to that of the Louis Vuitton Speedy. The handbag SJP is carrying is the Bonnie in the small size which is not available in stores yet as it is part of the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Price is $1500. There are winter colors available in this bag at Beyond Seven, 601 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001

Sarah Jessica Parker has clearly put Diane de Maria on the map and I am sure we will be hearing more of the designer in the future. More on Diane de Maria online.

Sarah Jessica Parker is seen not once, but twice with neon Diane De Maria satchel

Leave it to Sarah Jessica Parker to find us a new, funky handbag designer to add to our handbag lexicon. The neon pink handbag that she’s toting here is the Diane De Maria Small Bonnie Satchel, and it’s far more interesting than meets the eye.

It’s difficult to tell from these pictures because of the high shine of the patent leather, but they’re actually covered with an intricate mechanical pattern inspired by the work of famous artist Pierre De Maria, the designer’s father. I’m normally unsure of pattern and color variation in bags, but the more I look at the collection, the more I like it. Because the pattern is not multicolored, it wouldn’t make the bags any more difficult to incorporate into the average wardrobe, and the design itself is full of artistic cache. The other bag’s on the designer’s website are even more interesting than this one – I’m intrigued.
