Kim K's Blog: A Night in Atlantic City

Atlantic City has to be one of my favorite places! Brittny and I went to the pool at Harrah's Casino.

First we ate at a really yummy Italian restaurant in the hotel then we headed to the pool party! Right before we walked in we rolled the dice with Penn and Teller! I had never met them before so it was fun to chat with Penn about Dancing with the Stars since we both were on the show.

After the show Britt and I saw a Ben & Jerry's and had to get some ice cream! The perfect way to end our night!

Kim K's Blog: Khloe's Radio Show Premieres Tonight!

You may have heard that Khloe got her own radio show! She has a five-week trial run on Y100 (100.7) in Miami and tonight is the first night! The show, called 'Khloe After Dark,' will air live every Friday at midnight, so make sure you tune in. Y100 even created a Khloemobile!! Haha. Head over to Khloe's site to see the Khloemobile and if you're in Miami keep your eyes peeled for it.

Pick of the Week: Christian Louboutin Armadillo Striped Satin D’orsay

Have you ever loved a pair of shoes so much, that when they were worn out you wished you had bought the same style in every color and material possible? This should not be an issue when it comes to Christian Louboutin’s shoe collection. They usually come in a wide range of materials and colors, like these Armadillo pumps that we have seen in black leather, pewter, red satin and now in blue satin.

Christian Louboutin Armadillo Striped Satin D’orsay $790

Pick of the Week: Giorgio Armani Beaded Platform Pump

These shoes are simply gorgeous. I loved the ruched chiffon detail. The beading is very pretty, and not over done like you often see. They would be gorgeous with a little black dress or even evening trousers. I also love that designers are putting platforms in evening shoes now. The only caveat is the price. They are gorgeous, but I wouldn’t pay that much for them, not when you can buy pretty evening shoes from top designers for less. But I’ll certainly be looking for them to go on sale at the end of the season!

Giorgio Armani Beaded Platform Pump Pre-order for $1,295

Designer Handbag of the Week: Louis Vuitton Monogram Mini Lin Diaper Bag

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Mini Lin Diaper Bag is trimmed with grained calf leather and features all the hoots and whistles needed for a posh and practical diaper bag. You are guaranteed to need to change your tot, so there is a washable embroidered changing mat. Then the list just goes on and on, and I can’t think of anything LV has forgotten to make a mother happy. There are flat handles that are adjustable, a removable padded shoulder strap, an address holder which can be stamped with baby or mother’s initials (never put your full name, initals works perfect!), and a key ring holder. But then there are the compartments, TONS of them. On the outside you will find two pockets for baby bottles, one large front pocket with two interior flat pockets, one zip pocket, and one flat side pocket for mat. And on the inside you will find two flat pockets for diapers, two interior compartments, and an elastic band on each side for baby bottles. So there you have it. A posh perfect pair. Measurements are 17.7″x 11.8″x 6.7″ $1870.

Mario Dedivanovic's Blog: Wedding makeup tips and tricks....

Tis the season to get married! I figured I should do a wedding makeup post since so many people are getting married in the summer and fall. I think makeup is really important for a bride on her wedding day. It’s photographed by a professional and you will see the images forever. If there’s any day in your life that you want to look you’re very best and most beautiful, it’s your wedding day.

I get emails everyday from brides-to-be from all over (some as far as Moracco!) asking me to do their weddings. I feel terrible because unfortunitely my schedule now doesn’t really allow me to book weddings anymore, but I have done many many weddings in the past and I always loved making a woman feel beautiful on her special day. Below are some products and tricks to help you out.

The pics here are of my beautiful sister Vicky. She got married last summer and of course I did her makeup, lol. I love you Vicky ;) Vicky usually does her makeup pretty natural so we kept with that theme of warm, natural and nude colors. Theres also a couple of pics of Dara Godfrey, wife of the amazing designer Jay Godfrey, on their wedding day. I flew out to Miami for their wedding.. it was really beautiful and so was she! The last pic is a bridal cover I did a while back, “For The Bride” magazine.

Tips and tricks -

Photo Finish Foundation Primer by Smashbox. This is a really good primer to use all over before you apply your foundation. It helps keep the makeup last longer and keeps it smooth.

Secret Camouflage by Laura Mercier. This concealer had 2 shades that u can mix to get the perfect match for your skin. Go alittle lighter under the eye and for blemishes, match the exact skin color.

Loose Setting Powder by Laura Mercier. This is good to set your foundation and concealer. It’s very silky and sheer and has a bit of light reflecting which helps to smooth fine lines and imperfections. Try putting a bit of it on a velour puff and applying it that way. Great to touch up with also through out the day and night.

Oragasm Blush by NARS. It’s a peachy pink with shimmer and just looks beautiful and so many skin tones. Brush it on the apples of your cheeks (try not to go too low on the cheek with it).

Dior Bronze - Amber Tan by Dior. A matte golden bronze shade of bronzer. Brush it all around the frame of the face to warm your skin up. Dont forget to apply some to the neck too!

High Beam by Benefit. This is a luminescent complexion enhancer. Apply it on your cheek bones for a dewy glow. I like to use it on the center of the lip too for a hightlight and on the bridge of the nose.

Silk Eye Shadow Wash by Stila. It’s a water-based liquid-to-powder eyesshadow in a shade called kitten (pinkish gold tone) It looks great on alot of skin colors. Use it on your eyelid or to highlight.

Powerpoint Eyepencil by MAC. This pencil is great for a wedding because its waterproof but you can still blend it nicely for a smokey eye. Also great for the inner rim of the eye. After applying on top lids, brush alittle translucent powder over it and apply again. This will give the line alot of pigment and really pop.

B-Dazzle by GIELLA. The perfect shade eye shadow for the inner corner of the eyes. Makes you look more awake and gives that “angelic” look. GIELLA can also custom blend it into a pencil. www.Giella.com

All products except for the MAC and GIELLA can be found at www.Sephora.com . Remember to keep your makeup classic looking on your wedding and don’t overdo it! Xo

Monica Rose Blog: Kim at Maxim's Hot 100 Party

Check out how amazing Kim looked at the Maxim Hot 100 party! Can you believe this dress is from H&M and only cost $59.90? I could not believe it! It's available now but only in select stores. I paired it with a pair of Jil Sander Beak Toe D'Orsay pumps in black, Christian Louboutin "Traingolo" satin clutch in black and a Swarovski "Nirvana Jet" ring . I found these vintage clip on earrings at Perto Zillia. They have the BEST jewelry there for reasonable prices too! I LOVE this look!

Monica Rose Blog: Kim's night out at STK

For my first post I wanted to show how to achieve the look I created for Kim's night out at STK with her girls. I love this outfit! I have had the pleasure of working with Kim Kardashian for almost a year. She is AMAZING to work with because she LOVES to take fashion risks which is a stylist's dream!

I was inspired by this amazing vintage wrap Donna Karan blazer that was a great find. I found this gem at one of my favorite stores, Beige in Los Angeles. When using a vintage statement piece it's always good to keep everything else modern and simple so it doesn't start looking like a costume. In this case, I kept it simple with a pair of black LnA Dani Stahl zipper leggings , a lace black bodysuit by Zimmermann which is a great layering piece. And last, a pair of Yves Saint Laurent Black Patent Leather Cage Boots.

To complete the outfit, I added a vintage inspired 1960's resin plated necklace by House of Harlow that I am obsessed with. Kim added the Mandy Clutch in Black by Kooba (which is a great basic black clutch/ investment piece) that was purchased at Revolve Clothing.com.

Stay tuned as I will post how to get this look for less.

Monica Rose Blog: Hello

I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Monica Rose, I am an L.A. based stylist. I decided to create this blog to show aspiring stylists what I do on various assignments. This includes a lot of consultation with my clients, preparation, putting on the finishing touches just before red carpet events, photo shoots and television shows. For me, this blog will be a journal of my work, to see it evolve. I hope it inspires some of you to follow your dreams and aspirations in fashion.

I started freelance styling back in 2003. I learned my trade on the job and by taking chances. This is not something I learned in school. Styling always came very naturally to me. For me it’s my passion, which I decided to pursue full force after almost 10 years of retail jobs. I didn't have a plan to fall back on and I knew I had to make it happen. Through hard work and determination, I reached the goals I set for myself.

Even though it can be crazy and very stressful at times, the most important thing is that I love what I do. The business can be challenging, but it helps me create! I also enjoy having a hand in helping my clients feel good about themselves. Not only do I get to dress my clients, but the looks we create gives them the confidence to walk in-front of a camera and feel beautiful. It's the best feeling and it motivates me more every time. I never thought in a million years I would be doing this as a profession. I have made it this far and I am anxious to see what the future holds. I am excited about sharing my journey with you all on my blog. Please feel free to leave comments, questions as I would love to hear from my readers! So let's get started!

Kim K's Blog: Kicking off the Summer with Nivea

This last Sunday I attended a fun barbecue in Malibu to kick off the summer! We launched the Nivea 'Good-bye Cellulite, Hello Bikini' challenge. Now I am in week two of the program and it's going well. I have a lot more energy and feel motivated to continue. You should have seen how amazing these Shay Todd bikini's were at the bikini bash! Are any of you doing the challenge?

Kim K's Blog: Monica's Style File: My Look for Less

Kim K's Blog: My Beach Body Secret and Hollywood Crime Spress

I spoke to Life & Style recently about how I got my body bikini-ready with my Fit in Your Jeans by Friday workout and about how important it is to feel confident with your body and work with what you have! I also gave some bikini fashion tips to help you feel more confident so take a look at the article in the gallery.

And it looks like my sisters and I weren't the only celebrity victims of crime recently. Rachel Bilson's home was burglarized and the perpetrator stole her designer clothes and accessories!

Take a look through this week's press clippings.
