social event: 9th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball LA
Angie Harmon looks amazing wearing a Ikat printed chiffon Kaufman Franco wrap dress.
I love the leather straps, as it reminds me of my favourite Michael Kors dress, which has the same detail.
Megan Fox at the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen World Premiere
I was expecting something a bit edgy for Megan Fox’s “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” red carpet appearances, but instead she gave us uber glam.
I’m am in love with her regal satin purple Donna Karan gown, which drapes off her shoulder, and reveals her toned tanned legs.
I had high hopes for Megan, and she started off really well. I just hope she can keep it up.
Her look was complete with a pair of Stuart Weitzman “Frontpage” platform pumps, and gold bangles.
Her long dark hair was styled in loose waves, she’s less orange than she appeared at the MTV Movie Awards, and her make-up is flawless. I love the pink lips. (june 8)
Who Wore Nanette Lepore Better?
Miley Cyrus arrived at a taping of the Rachael Ray show back in April wearing this navy, white bow, red trimmed Nanette Lepore Swept Away wrap dress, with Moschino Cheap and Chic peep-toe strappy heels.
The cute dress was a perfect style fit for the young actress/singer.
Maggie Grace wore the same dress when she attended the Palm Pre Launch Event in LA last week.
The former Lost actress, wore her dress with gold buckled flats, and a gold purse.
The Taking of Pelham 123 Premiere
Kim Kardashian wears Balmain for her second consecutive red carpet appearance.
Her Balmain white blazer, with sculptured shoulders, plus a Balmain black mini skirt, a printed top and black Jil Sander heels works for her.
Yes she’s jumped on the Balmain bandwagon very late, but she looks great. (June 5th)

Welcome To America Topshop!
New York fashionistas/recessionistas will line up the streets of Manhattan to join model Kate Moss to cut the ribbon on British retail chain Topshop's long-awaited U.S. debut at Broadway and Broome Street in SoHo.
And long-awaited it is! Slated to open last fall, Top Shop is finally opening its doors and though we are a little sad because we live in the West Coast and won't be part of the party, we are very optimistic that this grand opening will encourage Topshop chairman Sir Philip Green to open a store in Los Angeles!

The Most Coveted Sandal This Season
While having a cardio session at the mall this weekend, we noticed many shoes resembling Balmain's stud and diamanté trim suede power sandal. This sandal is AMAZING!
And yes, biting may be a form of flattery. But we rather have the real deal or nothing at all.
At $2,300 for the real deal, looks like we are gonna just keep on wishing....
Like A Swan
Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld has designed this gorgeous ballerina dress for ballet star Elen Glurdjidze for her performance on "The Dying Swan" as part of the English National Ballet's season in London. Can you guess how many feathers it took to create this masterpiece? Over 2,500 and more than 100 hours.
“[Your costume] is 50 percent of how you are going to dance,” said Glurdjidze. “It is very important to have a beautiful costume.” Gorgeous.
Shoes Too Small? No Problem!

D.S Pick of the Day: Jo No Fui Wrap Crystal Suede Sandals
I was sitting and browsing Luisa Via Roma’s latest shoes and came across these Jo No Fui stunners, which for a moment I could have sworn were Giuseppe Zanotti, but no. They are from a designer I had not heard of and are absolutely stunning.
They are definitely full of glitz and glam, but that is part of the charm. I don’t think I have anywhere to wear them, but if I did, I think a plain brown dress would be the perfect compliment, as I wouldn’t want to compete with these elaborate shoes.
I love the mixture of crystals in rose gold, gold and silver against the brown suede backdrop. The not-so-subtle wrapping of the crystals in the ankle strap is fun and definitely adds some edge. These are shoes that command attention and are meant to be seen. They give me a total “wow” moment just looking at them! The whole shoe comes together for a very streamlined glistening look that is just fabulous.
These sandals are investment pieces and really works of art that should be sitting in a frame of sorts. I wish I could afford the price tag, but for now, I will have to view them as works of art, masterfully done and beautifully finished.
