Building a Shoe Wardrobe: Part 3 The Evening
Christian Louboutin Very Croise Sandal
Now that we have discussed the importance of a basic black pump and a ballet flat, it’s time to discuss another important facet of building a shoe wardrobe: the evening shoe. I really think it's a good idea to have at least one or two timeless evening shoe options. First of all, if you have an event come up, it's nice to already own a shoe that works with most everything, so you can just focus on buying a dress. In addition, a beautiful evening shoe can transform a plain little black dress into a much dressier outfit. So if you're in a jam with a last-minute event, you can toss on that LBD and gorgeous pair of satin sandals, and you're all set.
In my mind, nothing can ruin a beautiful evening look, like putting on a pair of inappropriate shoes with an evening gown. And when I say inappropriate, I’m thinking of pairing something like a delicate chiffon gown with a a pair of office-appropriate black pumps or a chunky platform sandal. Perfectly wearable in other scenarios, but they just do not work with a gown.
Another issue with evening sandals is comfort. I have ended so many evenings with aching, blistered feet. Granted any 5-inch shoe is going to be somewhat uncomfortable if you’re standing in them all night, but make sure any shoes you pick are somewhat tolerable. For example, if you mainly wear flats, don’t pick evening shoes with 4- to 5-inch heels. A heel of 2 or 3 inches is just fine.
It is impossible to pick a shoe that is going to work with any evening dress you might one day wear, but stick to something as neutral as possible like black, silver or gold. I adore evening shoes in vibrant reds or turquoise, but if you’re just building your shoe wardrobe and want to maximize your shoe investment, go for something neutral that you can get maximum wear out of. Later on you can add in some more unique choices. It is also nice to have a sandal and pump to choose from.
adding to my Christian Louboutin collection...
Do you have any hobbies? What kind of hobbies do you like? Do you collect anything? I’ve always been a purse girl, so growing up I’ve always collected purse, I never been into collecting shoes. Until recently, I picked up another bad hobby. Collecting designer shoes, eek!
When I saw girls buy designer shoes or wearing them I use to think they are crazy for spending $1000 on a pair of shoes that they put on their foot. But now I am on the same bandwagon. LoL.
To add to my Christian Louboutin collection, I picked up the New Simple Pump with the platform with 100mm in the bone color. Shortly after picking up my second pair, I couldn’t resist so I bought another pair of Christian Louboutin the Hyper Prive Pumps in tan.. eek and now I found another pair that I have my eyes on…I am going crazy here…hihi. What do you think of the pair I am planning to get below?
Reason, Season, Lifetime.....
I hope everyone had a wonderful, eventful and relaxing weekend.. I am sitting up in my room with the window peek opened, hearing the car drive by, airplane up in the sky and the fresh air coming thru my window. Very peaceful and quite...I am recollecting my thoughts, I want to share this special piece with everyone. . . .
People come into your life for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime. When you know which one it is for a person, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend, and they are! You tend to learn a lot about yourself as a result of having contact with this person. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The questions, doubts, fears..... you sent up have been answered, and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done and you do the same for them. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season - the person that is great for now...
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
After reading my thoughts, what is running thru your head, what do you think of it? Are you here for a reason, season or lifetime?
I truely feel there comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did,who won't anymore and who always will. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future..

Spotting Kim K: at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center 4.27.09
Back to her usual dark hairdo, Kim Kardashian stepped out for an evening at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York City on Monday (April 27).
The E! reality starlet was decked out in an all-black ensemble, on-hand for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of "Wonderful World".
Also in attendance for the evening's festivities were Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick, as well as Sanaa Lathan and Josh Goldin.
As for Miss Kardashian's much-talked-about lighter locks which she showed off while out on the town on Sunday, it turns out that she was wearing a wig.
She writes on her Web site: "It's a wig! Did I have you fooled? I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend for Scott Barnes book called About Face. Chuckie Amos did the hair and transformed me with this blonde wig and they put this hair piece on! I haven't taken it off since, because I'm really loving the look. I've been wearing it around New York and everyone thought it was my real hair! It's making me want to dye my hair and maybe go lighter for the summer."
