This shoot was so much fun! Kim coordinated this shoot with photgrapher Nick Saglimbeni for her 2011 calendar. Frankie Payne did hair and Mario Dedivanovic did Kims make-up. We all had complete creative freedom on these looks so we were all so excited to be a part of this!! I can't wait for you guys to see the rest of the pics. Kim may post some more sneak peeks on her blog! I'll keep you posted. I kind of miss the Blonde hair! haha

Wardrobe for the shoot! We used a lot of swimwear and layering pieces. Most of the wardrobe was Kim's personal and mine from my Kit.

Monica Rose Blog: Kim's Best Fashion Moment of 2009!

Us Weekly voted Kim's one shoulder white Ina Soltani gown she wore to the Emmys as look of the year! ( Remember the drama behind that dress!)

Seventeen Magazine voted the Toni Maticevski dress Kim wore to the Grammy Awards as one of the best style moments of 2009.

I would like to know what was your FAVORITE look? Leave your vote in the comment section on what you think was Kim's best red carpet look of 2009!

I get so many emails from you guys on how much you all love Kim's style. THANK YOU for the positive feedback!!! Kim's input is so important when I am styling her. She knows exactly what works for her body so that helps me out tremendously. I think that the key to making a red carpet dress work is making sure it fits the body to perfection. I always have to tailor everything to fit her body. A hem line too long or too short can ruin a dress. People always ask me where I get my ideas. I get inspired by new clothing while I am out pulling for my clients!

When I see an amazing dress or jacket I already know exactly what I am going to do with it. I am a visual person so I get ideas in my head and 98 percent of the time it just works. Don't get me wrong there have been many times in a fitting where I was like "oh NO what was I thinking!" and my client looks at me like I am crazy! LOL. But hey, at least we gave it a try. I take what I do very seriously and I never half ass my jobs because trust me you will see it in the end result what a half ass job can do to your client.

I am extremely dedicated and take full control and have 100 percent confidence in any job I take on. Whether it's taking on a new client, editorial, red carpet or a TV show, I am always up for a challenge! My clients trust me so I have to be in control at all times and I am constantly educating myself on the newest trends while researching new designers. My brain is always thinking ahead!

So, to all you aspiring stylists just know that one day you can be a celebrity stylist. I did not go to school to be a stylist. I just worked hard and stayed focused! Some people may call it a gift, some people may call it talent but I call it my passion! :)

Good luck to all of you in 2010!

XOXO

Monica Rose Blog: Kim At The Opening Of Eve Nightclub

Here is Kim last night arriving at the grand opening of Eve nightclub in Las Vegas.

This was my inspiration for the look behind Kim outfit. There is so much going on with this amazing Balenciaga dress so I wanted to keep everything else really simple. The first thing that I wanted was for Kim to wear her hair slick back off of her face to show her beauty. The shoulders on this dress are so strong I thought it would be too much with her hair down.

I kept it simple with a Christian Louboutin suede pump. Kim liked how the suede on the shoes matched the suede on the shoulders. The detail on this dress when seen in person was pretty amazing!!!

Since it was Vegas I wanted to have fun with accessories so I paired the the dress with a fun mirrior clutch by Kotur and a pair of vintage earrings I purchased at Curve Boutique.

10 Trends We're Looking Forward to in 2010

by Sydne Summer
Today, we're still wearing our booties and tweed jacket from 2009. But in a few months, we're going to stash our winter gear and say hello to fresh spring styles. First up on our shopping list? Something in lavender.

The pastel purple looks fab on every skin tone whether you have a pale complexion like Eliza Dushku or a deeper tan like Jessica Alba. And it works with any hair color, too. Just please don't wear it as a hair color. That whole Lady Gaga mess should be left in the past.

Designer Shoe of the Week: Christian Louboutin “Greissimo 140″ Pump

Christian Louboutin “Greissimo 140″ pumps being a front-runner in the movie. These shoes are classics, full of sophistication and femininity. I love the black and white stripes, they remind me a bit of old Hollywood lingerie.

These are the kind of shoes that can be worn on anyone from an Old Hollywood Pin-up to a modern day, fashion forward working woman. The damas fabric is supremely beautiful. The black and white looks ultra elegant against the red sole. The knot over the peep-toe adds some fun to the shoe, and gives them a bit of a “Sailor” girl, come-hither vibe. Paired with anything from leggings to black pencil skirts to black pants to dresses or jeans, these shoes are perfection when it comes to versatility. Love, Love, Love, I need these shoes!
