Kim K's Blog: Runway to Reality
Remember the pics I posted in June where I was wearing the short wig? Well, Ken Paves was transforming me for an O Magazine photoshoot.
My look for the shoot, photographed by Robert Trachtenberg, was the 'Power Dress!'
"Fast, fresh, and streamlined, the sheath ruled the season. Some of the best featured interesting patterns like this burgundy silk with a white rose (Elie Tahari, $498). The dress may be very Michelle O., but the short boucle jacket (DKNY, $395( is more Jackie O (no to mention a useful cover-up for the office). “The higher the neckline and longer hem are conservative, but it’s fitted to show off my curves,” says Kim Kardashian, one of three sisters on E!’s blended family chronicle Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The fashion entrepreneur co-owns Dash a California boutique, with her sisters, and has helped start an online shoe flub, shoedazzle.com: Every month you get a handpicked pair based on your style preferences for only $39. Belt, Elie Tahari"
Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Lanvin Happy Mini Pop Satin Bag
The stitch detailing throughout is gorgeous. This is a look that can be executed perfectly on a small bag like this one. Now, add the chainlink handle that is woven with grosgrain ribbon and boasts a floral crosage and this look is just perfection. And you know me, I love when handbags can be used in a variety of ways. Whether you see it right now or not, this bag is actually rather versatile. A clear favorite would be pairing the bag with one of your fancier outfits. However, I’d love to sling it over my shoulder as I wear a pair of boyfriend jeans and a white t-shirt while letting the bag speak for itself. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $1240.
D.S Pick of the Day: Versace Patent-Leather Peep-Toe Pump
Versace really ups the ante with this incredibly sexy patent-leather peep-toe pump!
There is just something about this pump that just oozes sexuality, but it’s not over the top or tacky. I love the patent leather, and the sleek look of this pump. The thicker covered platform is sexy, but it’s done in a subtle way so that it doesn’t take away from the elegant shoe.
These pumps are a great investment because you really can wear them with everything. They’ll look super sexy with skinny jeans and a slinky top, but they’ll also work (and will add a little va va voom to) with business attire or more classic dresses.
