GET THE FACE! Kim K @ Teen Choice Awards

This day was so exciting for me, as it was the first time I saw Kim as a blonde. I was pleasantly surprised! I had so much fun doing her makeup for the Teen Choice Awards. It was almost like I was doing another person! I also did Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie that day too. They all looked so beautiful :-) People magazine (out on stands right now) interviewed me as well to get the makeup scoop. Check out the image below and read more here to Get The Face!

Skin – I started out with one of my favorite moisturizers - Ultimate Youth Creme by Estee Lauder. For foundation, I went with Dior Nude Hydrating Glow Foundation followed by NARS pressed powder. I used Make Up For Ever Lift concealer under the eyes.

Eyes - Use Chopper eye shadow by Urban Decay all over the lid. Sweep Mac’s eye pencil in fascinating along the inner rim of the eye. Apply Cork eye shadow by MAC with a Qtip along the lower lash line. On the inner corner of the eyes, use B-dazzle by GIELLA. Lancôme Hypnose mascara on top and bottom lashes.

Eyebrows are slightly filled in with lingering brow pencil by MAC then blended and softened with a Qtip.

Cheeks- Lancôme Star Bronzer in Bronze Rich framing the entire face and on hollows of cheeks. Apply some to the neck and chest area as well. Brush Orgasm by NARS on the apples of the cheeks.

Lips - Fill in lips with Spice liner by MAC and follow with MAC’s Dazzleglass in Smile. ;) Have fun!

In the photo below, the glasses look the same but they are actually Benjamins and the style name is Cindy .

Sorry for the mix up. They look exactly the same but I think the Benjamins are a tad bigger. I love them both! I need to get a pair myself! I hope that helps! XO

A Sunday in Malibu With Beauty Queens and a Hip-Hop King

Regional beauty pageants rarely draw an A-list crowd. But Miss Malibu isn't your usual town-and-country show. For starters, it was held at Cher's old house. Yes, as in the Cher. And in keeping with the music theme, Ludacris was one of the judges. Yes, as in Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Ludacris. He joined Elizabeth Röhm, Khloé Kardashian and nine other judges in crowning the new Miss Malibu and Miss Teen Malibu. (Miss California Tami Farrell and Kelsey Grammer's daughter, Greer, won last year.)

For those who didn't get crowned, a few tips from Miss Kardashian…

"Some of them dressed a little too mature for their age," Khloé said of the teenage contestants, who were stunningly beautiful and, one couldn't help but notice, extremely well-endowed. (Something in the water?!) One statuesque blonde even channeled Marilyn Monroe with a curve-hugging white gown that showed off her Gisele-like legs as she sashayed down the stage built over Cher's old pool. But if you stripped the girls of their grown-up gowns, sexy Erzulinea for FredaLA bikini chains and flawless Oxygenetix makeup, they were at heart just adorable teenagers—with a knack for fashion. "Some of them had really cute style," added Khloé from beneath dark diva shades.

According to Khloé's mom, Kris Jenner, the reality star and her two sisters Kim and Kourtney had a "great sense of style" when they were growing up, too. "But they had a very expensive sense of style—and I had to pay for it!" she laughs. Considering how famous they are today, we're guessing it was worth every penny.

Monica Rose Blog: Eric Sakas: Vapour Organic Beauty

I wanted to introduce you all to a new makeup and skin care line called Vapour Organic Beauty that feels incredible on the skin. It makes you look completely polished and beautiful in literally 5 minutes. The secret is their unique delivery system which suspends pure mineral pigments in an organic botanical base so that the color rolls and glides over the skin without settling or looking cake-y. Not only does this light-as-air formula cover and add color but they also provide treatment benefits for a one-two punch for more beautiful skin.

I was lucky enough to chat with Eric Sakas, the Co-Founder of Vapour Organic Beauty, about the brand and get his take on why you'll never go back to traditional mineral makeup. Why should we listen to Eric? Well to start, he co-founded Kevyn Aucoin Beauty with none other than Kevyn Aucoin himself and he was the former Director of Color for Philosophy cosmetics. He is pretty much one of the top industry experts on color and product formulations so he knows a thing or two about what makes an exceptional product.

I just received a big box of Vapour Organic Beauty products and I am so excited to use them! I love to wear make-up that looks fresh like it's not even there. :)

How did you get started in beauty?

I actually fell into it. My life changed in a New York minute when I met Kevyn Aucoin. We started dating and 2 weeks later I was travelling with him to Toronto to work with Liza Minnelli on a video shoot.

What was it like working with one of the greatest makeup artists of our time?

He was my biggest mentor in life. I not only learned his coveted techniques and how to develop products but I learned
so much more.. It was also a roller coaster ride watching his exciting life from the sidelines interacting with some
of the biggest celebrities of our time.

What are some values that will always stay with you that you learned working under Kevin Aucoin?

I learned that nothing is worth doing unless youre gonna give it 110%. I learned that beauty does come from within, but sometimes we need someone who believes in us to give us a jumpstart. I learned that success doesn't change a thing unless you let it.

Tell me about the line?

I've developed a revolutionary line of cosmetics called Vapour that is lighter than air, blends into the skin seemlessly and quickly and looks like beautiful healthy radiant skin. It is also comprised of certified organic botanicals which nourish and protect the skin. I've never seen anything that performs like this.

What is on trend right now?

Trends come and go, but beautiful healthy radiant looking skin is always in style.

Where did you come up with the name Vapour?

The texture is lighter than air. It becomes a beautiful second skin.

Can you explain your definition of "Beauty"?

Beauty is inside us all. All you have to do is believe that it is and then you can accesss it!

We all know going "organic" is now a key factor in staying healthy. Can you explain to some readers who may not understand this, the beneficial differences in using Vapour organic makeup over well know store brands or traditional

Skin cells and Plant cells are compatible with each other, which is the reason that Vapour is perfect for your skin. Our skin absorbs whatever we put on it. Our products are made with certified organic botanicals that are food grade, which means you can actually cook with them. Vapour is also 100% chemical free. We manufacture our own products so we control the quality.

How do we take care of our skin from the inside out?

We take care of it by not feeding it toxins. Remember that we exercise and eat healthy, why wouldn’t you want to do that for your skin too?

Can you tell us a first hand story of a experience in which you witnessed the positive impact or impression through one of your products?

I have a lot of women who wear mineral makeup. I have had a lot of them try our products and was impressed how their skin looked younger and more radiant. The product restored their youthful glow. I was told that the minerals sat in their pores and lines and actually made them look older.

Where is Vapour organic sold?

We are sold on SHOP NBC and also at our own site VapourBeauty.com.

Style Watch: What's Her Best Hair?

The reality-star beauty hit the MuchMusic Awards with a tucked-under bob, which, she tweeted, was all about "channeling Marilyn Monroe." But days later at a product launch party in Beverly Hills, she was back to her trademark lanky locks.

Style Watch: What's Her Best Hair?

The reality star blogged about her decision to lighten up from her natural black: "This time it’s for real, guys! I went blonde!!!" she wrote.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Lanvin Amalia Quilted Cabas Tote

A huge portion of the bag’s appeal is the milk chocolate leather. The bag is made entirely of lambskin, which looks so soft and tactile that I can’t help but want to reach through my screen and grope the bag. Buy through Luisa Via Roma for $1561.

D.S Pick of the Day: Christian Louboutin Python Peep-Toe Pump

We’ve seen this Christian Louboutin Python Peep-Toe pump before, and it is a fabulous shoe, but I am completely in love with this dusty blue version.

The style of this shoe is classic Louboutin. The python is beautiful, but I really love the color. It is so elegant and will look beautiful with a little black dress. Actually it will look great with most anything! These pumps are somewhat pricey, but they are gorgeous snake skin. Plus, these shoes are classic and will never go out of style! If they’re too steep, wait for them to go on sale!
