Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Chloe Heloise Bowler Bag

So, we’re all familiar with the Chloe Heloise bag. It’s been out for a few seasons now, and interest in it may have died down a bit, although it is, by all accounts, a beautiful and functional bag with a bit of a funky edge (something that Chloe does well). Something that Chloe also does well - milk an ‘it’ bag for all it’s worth (hey, not that I can blame them)! So now, we have yet another incarnation of the Heloise bag: the New Chloe Heloise Bowler. I little shorter, a little squater, and a little wider than the original, it still has all the elements that tell everyone “Hey, y’all, I’m a Chloe!” The straps and finish of the bag remain largely the same, but I’m not complaining: I thought it was beautiful when it first appeared on the market, and why tinker too much with something that you did right the first time? What caught my eye about this bag in particular is the color: cobalt blue is supposed to be THE color next season, and getting such a vivid shade in the thick, buttery leather for which Chloe is famous must be rather difficult. They pull it off with aplomb, however; the color is even, bright, and true blue. Buy through Saks for $2030.

Giuliana's Blog: THE SECRET to my life and success!!!

I tweeted about watching The Secret DVD this morning and was inundated with many responses and questions about the DVD and what it did for me. I couldn't come close to answering your questions in 140 characters so I knew this was one to take to the blog!!!

About a year ago, I was talking to someone who had the greatest outlook on life and was experiencing an amazing amount of success and overall happiness. I was mentioning what a great attitude this person had when he pulled me aside and mentioned that his life was a mess until someone introduced him to The Secret. I am a total skeptic but this guy was soooo put together and happy and so passionate about this method that I knew I had to try it. I immediately went online (I bought it from www.thesecret.tv) and got the dvd. I watched the dvd and within a few days, my life totally started to change for the better. And it's so easy!!! Basically, The Secret is knowing what the Law of Attraction is and how to use it in your life to attain whatever it is you really want. It's like a genie in a bottle. In a nutshell...Ask (really ask) and you shall receive. The dvd teaches you HOW to ask and HOW to visualize things into coming into your life. It's not magic or some impossible thing that only a small portion of the population can do. ANYONE can do it!!! The only reason everyone doesn't do it is because they have no idea how to do it...but once you learn (and it's so easy to learn) you can literally do and create anything...from the smallest things to the biggest.

Here's an example...A few days after watching The Secret, I was at the airport catching a 8pm flight from Chicago to LA. I was early and my flight was delayed an hour so I had about three hours to kill at the airport. UGH!!! As I walked to the gate, I started picturing myself back in LA, getting home, putting on my pjs and getting a good night's sleep. My flight would get me in pretty late so in reality, I would not get to bed until about 1am which is tough when your wake up time is 4:30am every day. Yikes. Anyway, I kept picturing the time on the clock by my bed as 10pm and I totally pictured myself in bed, watching tv and then turning the tv off and getting a good night's sleep. As I'm picturing this, walking thru the airport, I pass by another gate and happen to look at the board. It read, "Los Angeles, final boarding" I rushed over to the counter and explained to the agent that I was booked on the later flight but would love to hop on this flight so that I could get home a decent hour since I had to be up at 4:30. The agent apologized and said that the flight was totally sold out, every seat was taken, and that I would have to take my original flight. I thanked the agent, and walked away feeling sad and defeated. Suddenly, I thought about what The Secret taught me and a light bulb went off in my head. I stopped in my tracks and thought to myself, "I am going to be on that earlier flight to LA...there is a seat for me on that flight." I ran back to the gate, all the while visualizing myself on that flight, and rushed up to the counter. Before I could even open my mouth, the agent looked at me and said, "It's your lucky night, a guy just walked off the plane for some reason and there is one seat open now...and it's in first class!" I seriously thought I was dreaming!!! The whole thing was just too weird considering this was the very first time I was trying out what I had learned from The Secret. I took my seat and had an incredible flight and got into bed that night, nice and early, just the way I had pictured it a a few hours earlier.

I actually ended up applying the principle again that flight when we hit bad turbulence. I HATE turbulence and flying in general, so I closed my eyes and pictured the plane climbing above rough clouds into a smooth atmosphere. I pictured myself sitting in my seat on a super smooth flight, enjoying my dinner and a movie. I pictured the flight attendants walking up and down the aisle, not a bump in the sky, and the pilots chatting and laughing in the cock pit just having a great time and enjoying their smooth flight. After about a minute, the plane totally stopped shaking and the flight became smooth as a whistle. As the flight went on, I did enjoy my dinner and movie...the flight attendants were all smiles as they walked up and down the aisles...and if I was a betting girl, I would bet the pilots were having a good ole time up front. Once again, I was totally shocked!!! I called my husband the second the plane landed to tell him about these two experiences and he was pretty impressed! He is much more of a skeptic than I am but the more I used The Secret to get what I really wanted and hoped for, the more Bill realized that this was amazing and now he too applies it to his everyday life.

My friends and family...even strangers...always ask me the secret to my happiness and great outlook on life and all I can say is get the dvd!!! I have turned tons of people in my life onto it...my husband, my parents, co-workers, etc...and they loooove it!!! You will too!

Hope this helps and answered some of your questions. When I'm passionate about something, I can go on and on and on so I'm sorry for the longer than usual blog:)

If you have any more questions...throw them my way. I love them! xoxo G 6.17.09

But How Did They Look? Giuliana & Bill

The Style Network's newest reality stars, Bill and Giuliana Rancic, were spotted indulging in a little healthy competition at Lucky Strike bowling alley in Hollywood yesterday. Although both looked fiercely determined to win, we have to admit: We were initially on Team Bill. How on earth was Giuliana going to knock over any pins in that itty-bitty dress and those gladiator wedges? We'd be too scared to bend over.

But after doing some digging, we're happy to report that the E! News host did in fact change into the same maroon-and-olive sneakers seen on hubby Bill when it was her turn to bowl. We knew G wasn't going to let anything ruin her shot at bragging rights!

To see more of the modern-day power couple, come back Tuesday, when we'll share exclusive pics from their beautiful Capri wedding and highlight their red carpet fashions.

Then tune into Style Wednesday, August 5, at 9/8c, to watch more of the dynamic duo's antics on the series premiere of Giuliana & Bill.

Which is your favorite pic from the spread?? I think I like the yellow dress pic the most.
