Spotting Beyonce Knowles: and family out in Paris

Taking full advantage of their time overseas, Beyonce Knowles and her family were spotted at the Grand Palais in Paris, France earlier yesterday (May 5).

The “Crazy in Love” songstress was joined by her mother Tina, sister Solange, and newphew Daniel as she checked out the Andy Warhol Exhibition.

In related news, Beyonce recently told press that although she played a mother in her latest flick “Obsessed,” she’s not looking for any real-life parenting experience anytime soon.

Knowles revealed, “I definitely want one (a child) but I’m not ready for all that. I don’t think a person should see that before their time. I fall in love with my nephew every time I see him.”

Spotting Nicole Richie: Stops By "Live With Regis and Kelly"

She’s getting further along in her second pregnancy, and this morning Nicole Richie was spotted showing off a small baby bump as she arrived at “Live with Regis and Kelly.”

The “Simple Life” hottie sported a flowing vintage-style dress as she appeared on the morning show at the Fountainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida.

In related news, Nicole recently revealed that in her younger years, long before she became a reality TV personality, she had dreams of becoming a rap star.

“When I was 10 years old, I was in an all girl hip-hop/rap group. Our name? get ready… CAUTION! It was me and my 2 girlfriends; but they were 13 so they made me audition. I was soooo excited when I got in!”

She added, “All I can think of is the 3 of us going up to my mom and singing her our first song. We were dead serious. And I even remember part of our rap. The rap lyrics I remember were: Caution! Walking down the street./You better watch out, and step to the beat/Playing our music from town to town/Rockin’ and Rollin’ were gonna get down! My poor mom had to sit there with a straight face and watch us perform. We asked her to find us a manager.”

When Stars Wear The Same Dress Twice - Heidi Montag

You would also think that with all the appearances and endorsements Heidi Montag and husband Spencer Pratt are making, they must be rolling in dough, but Heidi's closet tells us a different story. This is not the first, but the third time Heidi has been spotted in the same thing twice. She knows people will notice, but I guess she loves it so much wanted to show it off again. Even Anna Wintour often wears the same thing twice or thrice, the stigma still remains. I much prefer Heidi wearing this jumpsuit with her white Birkin, rather than the fuschia Prada clutch.
Others who have worn this jumpsuit are Helena Christensen and Kim Kardashian.

Runway to Red Carpet: Giambattista Valli

Victoria Beckham was feeling the joys of Spring, she was feeling the joys of Fall 2008 wearing a white Giambattista Valli Fall 2008 dress as she arrived at the store in Manchester, England launch her new perfume, Harvey Nichols Signature For Her.

The former Spice Girl was a vision in white, in her angelic sleeveless sheath dress, which she teamed with a pair of sequined silver Christian Louboutin heels as she posed for the paparazzi.

Runway to Red Carpet: Versace

I LOVE the Atelier Versace Fall 2008 dress the most. This dress spiderweb-esqe one-shouldered embellished gown, was my favourite gowns from Donatella's Fall 2008 Atelier collection. Charlize wore this dress to her premiere of The Burning Plain.

Runway to Red Carpet: Valentino

I am running out of superlatives. Diane Kruger hits it out of the fashion ball park in this one-shouldered pink Valentino Spring 2007 Couture gown. The draping on the hips is gorgeous, as it gives her a very sensual silhouette.

Runway to Red Carpet: Graeme Black

Victoria Beckham landed in London looking amazing after a 10 hour flight wearing a plunge-neck sweater and a linen pencil skirt from Graeme Black's Spring 2008 collection with tan accessories including, pointy heels, a waist belt and Hermes Birkin.

Runway To The Stage - Nelly Furtado In Dolce & Gabbana

Nelly Furtado has thankfully gone back to her natural dark roots and said goodbye to her blonde hair. To match her colourful personality, Nelly wore a colourful Dolce & Gabbana tie-dye chiffon dress. Nelly wore her shorten dress with black leggings and strappy sandals. Nelly performed all her hits for her fans including "Like A Bird", "Do It", and "Say It Right."

Atelier Versace Fall 2008

Versace do not normally have a runway show for their Couture (Atelier) collection, but on this occasion they included Donatella's illustrations with the Couture photographs on the Versace website.

For me this Fall 2008 collection is not as spectacular as the Spring 2008 collection, which saw 6 of the 15 gowns appear on the red carpet.

Of course all of these 17 gowns have red carpet potential, especially the gold lame striped gown, the black strapless gown with a star detail on the hip, and the one-shouldered see-through gown that looks like a spiders web above.

But I am slightly disappointed as some of the gowns look better as illustrations.

Runway to Photo Shoot - Lucy Liu For US Harper's Baazaar August 2008

I think the majority of us believed that August 2008 Harper's Bazaar cover girl Jessica Biel editorial was a great idea, but wish they had chosen someone else to execute it better.

I think Alicia summed it up best when she said:

"I do love the uniqueness of the designers included in the photos, but I wish they had chosen someone with more style than Jessica Biel."

Agreed, but thanks to Lucy Liu, all is not lost. My girl of the moment looked amazing in her Olympic theme photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar. And I am sure most of you will agree with the mixture of Spring 2008 Couture, Fall 2008 Ready-to-wear, and the athletic theme, Lucy TOTALLY rocks this shoot. In fact I think she should have been the cover girl for this issue.

On the eve of the games in Beijing, Lucy Liu demonstrates that it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you’re dressed that counts.

Here is her stunning editorial. My particular favourites are were accessories are used as props like the silver Chanel bag used as a hammer, and the Gucci bags used as weights.

Yves Saint Laurent 1936 - 2008

"Fashions fade, style is eternal" - Yves Saint Laurent

The Associated Press is reporting that Yves Saint Laurent died in Paris at the age of 71.

Paris Hilton in Betsey Johnson

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden were perfectly coordinated in their black and white ensembles. Paris wore a strapless Betsey Johnson lace embellished dress, which has a fitted bodice and a bubbled hem.

In Giuliana Ranci's Closet - Robert Rodriguez

Giuliana Ranci was reporting for E News from New York, as the channel devoted a whole week to Sex And The City:The Movie. The married presenter worked the pink carpet at the premiere asking the all important question "Who Are You Wearing?".

Whilst asking those questions, she was wearing a dove cream Robert Rodriguez Tiered Halter Mini Dress. This dress captures the spirit of a waterfall, with the ruffles cascading down the front and can be purchased from Saks.com for only $283.80, reduced in the sale from $473. She completed her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels and her dazzling wedding ring.

Runway To Photo Shoot: Gwyneth Paltrow For Harper's Baazaar US July 2008

Iron Man actress Gwyneth Paltrow, graces the July 2008 US edition of Harper’s Bazaar.
The star is wearing a pink Versace Fall 2008 one-shouldered gown in pink, a colour which really suits her English rose complexion. (A figure of speech, I know she is American)

On cutting her hair: "I was very, very attached to my hair. I grew it when I was pregnant. I still had hair from when my father was alive. I made it like a talisman. And then I was ready to let go of it, and so I chopped it off and ... aaah!"

On how her pregnancy differed from her mother's: "I may force myself to do it one more time because the result is so worth it. And also my dad said to me that his only regret in life was that he had only two children and he didn’t have more… My mother loved each [pregnancy] to bits; she felt alive and beautiful. I wanted to throw up all the time."

On being very open to adoption: "I do feel we’re so fortunate, and we kind of owe it to humanity. We have a lot of love to give and a lot of resources."

On her support for Barack Obama: "I don’t feel there's any lip service with [Obama]. I don’t feel like he’s one of those jaded politicos who say one thing and are talking out of both sides of their mouth. I also feel we’ve done such damage to our reputation – and as someone who lives outside America for half the year, I overhear things that I wish I didn’t overhear. A lot of people in the West think that we’re not very sensitive to the rest of the world, and I think that having a president called Barack Hussein Obama in 2008 says that we are part of the world, and we don’t want to make unilateral decisions about the fate of all of us. I just pray to God that he wins."
