Designer Shoe: Pick of the Day: Valentino “Glamorous” Bow Sandals

Glamorous indeed! These Valentino “Glamorous” Bow Sandals are gorgeous and incredibly elegant!

This sandal first caught my eye because of the combination of the nude and black patent leathers, which is so beautiful. The sandal could have easily been constructed of all black patent leather, but the nude definitely adds a great touch. And then I love how the black patent spirals around the ankle ending in an almost ankle bootie feel with a casual bow. It truly is a beautiful shoe!

These sandals will look amazing with a little black dress or any evening outfit!

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Leopard Print Goat Hair Bag

The Valentino Leopard Print Goat Hair Bag brings together a leather bow detail at the front of the bag with a leopard-print goat hair body. Leopard print is a popular animal print that when put on a handbag usually skates a fine line between fabulous and trashy. Net A Porter for $2,695.

Runway To “Love Happens” LA Premiere - Jennifer Aniston In Valentino Couture

I was convinced that Jennifer Aniston not wearing black on her last red carpet appearance was a one-off, but she thankfully proves me wrong.

Last night at the “Love Happens” LA Premiere she looked beautiful wearing a silver embroidered Valentino Fall 2009 Couture tunic dress with matching strappy Christian Louboutin sandals.

OK it’s not pink with polka dots, but it’s progress people. Baby steps.

I love her look. It’s a bit sexy, young and chic, but I’m not sure if it’s a BDOTW contender.

What do you think?

Valentino is getting a lot of red carpet and editorial action at the moment, as a whole new generation is appreciating the edgier direction.

OK now we appear to have the dress situation under control, now I can move onto her never changing hairstyle.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Bow Hobo

Of all the bags on display to molest at fine department stores, Valentino bags are my favorite to pick up and feel. The quality of materials used in their bags continues to surprise and delight me, even after eight solid months of writing about handbags for 40 hours per week. And when you combine their obscenely soft leathers with a design so deconstructed, so slouchy, so irresistibly French-looking (despite the fact that the brand itself is Italian), you come up with a bag like this: gorgeous, casually elegant, and not trying too hard in the least. Buy through Saks for $1895.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Satin Bow Front Clutch

Clearly an evening piece, the Valentino Satin Bow Front Clutch brings a bright splash of emerald satin to a stunning bow front clutch. The bow on this bag is different as it shows structure and form. The clutch therefor appears more compact and clean. Simple, clean, girly, and sophisticated. Buy through Net A Porter for $895

Designer Shoe Pick of the Day: Valentino Couture Patent Leather Pumps

Red patent pumps just scream confident, sexy woman, and every gal needs a pair! These Valentino patent leather pumps certainly fit the bill!

These pumps are incredibly sexy, and the perfect shade of red. I love the platform and 5-inch sculpted heel. The only thing I’m not sure of is the red bow. On one hand, I think the bow is fun, and on the other hand, I feel it’s slightly large. But they will most certainly make a statement!

These pumps will look amazing with both casual and dressy dresses. Pair them with a LBD to give it some va va voom!

D.S Pick of the Day: Valentino “Ever” Bow Detailed Knee High Boot

When you have had a bad day or have gone through a tough break up you need that one thing that is going to make you feel sexy and confident. For me, it is a great pair of sexy, high, and tall boots. There is something about pulling on those boots that will make you feel like a super woman.

Valentino has made one sexy, high, and tall boot that could make the worst of days become the best of days. These suede boots are to die for and a total must have for fall. The light grey suede is a great color to transition from fall to winter so you can exude confidence throughout the cold months. The detailing of the gathering of the suede into a bow breaks down the sexiness a bit and makes the boot have a girly, feminine touch. No matter if you’re looking for boot for those bad days or just looking for a fabulous boot, these suede boots will fulfill all your needs.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Kaleidscope Stone Tote

Forget everything I said recently about how bad things come in threes and that means that there would soon be another bad Valentino bag for me to snark on soon. I have never been more utterly and profoundly wrong on this blog before, at least not that I can remember, because I can’t help but drool all over the Valentino Kaleidscope Stone Tote. Who needs a man - I love this bag so much that I would gladly cuddle with it at night instead.

I fully realize that some of you may look at this thing and think that this is indeed the completion of the trio of bad Valentino purses that I had foretold, but hear me out on this. If all of the sewn-on rhinestones were the same color or the same shape, then I’d be ready to dismiss it a tacky and cheap-looking. But the subtlety of the ombre color change and the seemingly random variance in stone shape (but not size, so that they look somewhat uniform) gives this bag a level of sophistication that perfectly balances its over-the-top shine. I love a statement bag more than anything else in fashion, and this one might rank as one of my all-time favorites. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $2995.

D.S Pick of the Day: Valentino Rose Pump

Ooh la la! I am in love! These Valentino pumps are absolutely stunning…so feminine, fresh and sophisticated with a tough of edge.

Dark silver and black are a fabulous contrast, and it is done superbly here. Patent leather and satin are also an interesting contrast and work perfectly in this case. The dark grey mirrored patent leather is the perfect neutral, yet edgy backdrop for the highlight of this shoe, the rose covered front, which is truly one of the most stunning rosettes that I have ever seen. The satin flowers are done so beautifully, and there is something about black roses that is oddly romantic in my eyes. These shoes remind me of a dark love story, one that you turn to with a glass of wine for one of those nights. There is some edge and delicate beauty in this shoe, and everything goes together with such ease.

Paired with a fabulously fitting black dress, it’s an outfit that cannot go wrong. Or try some black skinny pants and a black fitted top for an edgier look. Either way, these shoes are a love story all their own, so make yours in them.

D.S Pick of the Day: Valentino Crystal Bow Peep-Toe Pump

The gold satin is so elegant, and the crystals add just enough sparkle to make these shoes really shine, without being too gaudy. The bow is architecturally perfect and rests beautifully above the peep toe. An added bonus is the hidden platform, so those lucky feet will be comfortable.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Bow Clutch

The Valentino Bow Clutch, I absolutely love this clutch and really want to add it to my clutch collection. The brown metallic pearlized nappa leather looks amazing. Then add how the material is gathered and pleated into a side bow and you have a knock out clutch. The thing I love about a clutch like this is that although the bow is fairly large, it doesn’t overwhelm the rest of the bag. Just imagine how many great nights you could have carrying this clutch! Buy through Saks for $895.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Valentino Blossom Rose Bag

The Valentino Blossom Rose Bag is the perfect example of subtle touches of a floral design on a light leather looking classic and sophisticated. My only real qualm with this handbag is the gold snake skin trim on the handles. It looks a little cheap and really kills this bag being a 100% divine hit for me. I would have preferred tonal leather handles. The eye catcher, the front pleated into a rosette, really is alluring. While this bag is available in black, it does not showcase the rosette as well, so I would definitely opt for pink. Buy both the black and pink version at Saks for $1895.

Designer Handbag: Pick of the Week: Angelina and Zahara’s matching Valentino Handbags

We all know Angelina Jolie loves her Valentino Braided Leather Shoulder Bag. Not only does Angie love it, but now Zahara does also. While carrying Princess Z around NYC, the mother-daughter-duo sported chic style and matching designer handbags. Now I am not always a fan of matchy-matchy, but in this scenario it is so perfect I am completely drawn in and dead set on getting matching bags for my kids, my friends kids, my grandchildren, etc. Angelina and Zahara both rocked out the Valentino Braided Shoulder Bag while in New York City, only difference is Zahara carried a mini-version. This handbag, also dubbed the Valentino Histoire Bag, has been a huge hit for the house. If you ask me, you will not find this mini-version of the Histoire in stores, it may very well be one of a kind made solely for little Zahara. All I can say is lucky girl! Buy the ‘large’ version at Saks.

Edit: I just spoke with my SA at Valentino in Bal Harbour and she informed me it was specially made for Zahara!
