Deck the Halls with White Dresses!

TREND: White dresses in winter

WHO'S WEARING IT: Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne (Emporio Armani), Rachel Bilson (Amber Valletta for Monrow collection)

HOW TO WEAR IT: Legwear is the easiest way to winterize a white dress. Try black, gray, even purple opaque tights. Not a stockings gal? This season's over-the-knee boot is a trendy alternative.

And don't forget to choose a dress with a thicker fabric like cable knit, angora or cashmere. Linen has no place in the snow.

Dazzle in a Multicolored Sequined Dress!

TREND: Multicolored sequined dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Emma Roberts (Armani), Anna Kendrick (Talbot Runhof) and Eva Mendes (Chris Benz)

HOW TO WEAR IT: All that glitters isn't just gold this holiday season—it's a dazzling combination of gold, blue, red, green, purple and orange. Stars have been shining extra bright lately with colorful shimmering dresses. Pick a sparkly number that's mostly blue or black to ensure your look has a wintry feel. Then, balance out the festive frock with black pumps. Leave the flashy jewelry, like Anna's drop earrings and cocktail ring, at home.

Crystal-Encrusted Tops: No Accessories Necessary!

by Sydne Summer

TREND: Crystal-encrusted tops

WHO'S WEARING IT: Eva Mendes and Chloë Sevigny, both in Miu Miu looks from the spring runway

HOW TO WEAR IT: Diamonds aren't every girl's best friend. If you hate digging through your jewelry box, try an embellished top instead. At last night's MOCA 30th Anniversary gala, stars shined in intricately bejeweled designs that required no jewelry except for a ring or simple pair of studs. Just stick to one crystal-studded item per outfit. Head-to-toe gemstones only worked on Miuccia Prada's fall runway.

Wrap Your Waist in a Bow Belt!

TREND: Dresses with a single bow accent at the waist

WHO’S WEARING IT: Emily Blunt (Dolce & Gabbana), Zooey Deschanel (Luella) and Eva Mendes (Christian Dior)

HOW TO WEAR IT: A sophisticated frock wrapped in a sweet bow has "holiday party" written all over it. But for the gift that keeps on giving, we suggest investing in a classic black bow belt to get the look. That way, you can add a hint of girlie charm to any dress. Add a pair of black tights for a totally winterized outfit.

Style shout-out: Eva Mendes Roars Into the Venice Film Festival

After a brief stay in New York to launch her bedding line, Eva Mendes has returned to Italy to help kick off yet another film festival. This time, it's the Venice International Film Festival, where she attended a premiere for one of Italy's most expensive movies ever: Baarìa, a $36 million epic starring Monica Bellucci.

But aside from the name of the festival and the films, not much else has changed. Eva still has the same golden tan, she still looks absolutely radiant and she still is wearing her favorite designer, Dolce & Gabbana. Although spotted prints are a staple in the designing duo's collections, this red leopard number is a step in a new direction. It fits right in with the colorful animal-print trend we've been seeing all summer. Eva's is one of our favorites yet.

Eva Medes For Marie Claire UK September 2009

Eva Mendes graces the cover of Marie Claire’s September 2009 UK edition, and I’m floored by how beautiful she looks on the cover.

Her editorial was shot by Marc Hom which sees Eva on the cover wearing a beautiful tulle Lanvin strapless dress with a pearl bracelet.

The rest of her editorial includes two stunning Luisa Beccaria gowns and a sexy Blumarine animal print gown, which show both a sexy and a softer side of her stunning beauty.

In the magazine which is out now Eva talks about her curves and her stint in rehab stint.

Here are some extracts from her interview:

On dressing her curves: “I love my curves and I embrace them, but I have to walk a fine line. There are certain dresses that are like: ‘Oh, this is really feminine. This isn’t sexy at all’, but then I’d try it on and it just turned. I think it comes down to being voluptuous, and if your body’s a certain way, then things can go distasteful in a second. I have to walk a fine line.”

On her banned Calvin Klein adverts: “You can’t show your nipples, apparently, in the States. But you can blow up anything you please in a movie or on TV.”

On therapy: “I love therapy! I’m very into it. I’m very in touch with my feelings, so I’m a completely different person. Not that different, but there’s nothing like going in and sitting down and talking to someone who has no emotional tie to your life. Just to talk to someone. It’s amazing.”

Photo Of The Day

Mr. Dolce and Mr.Gabbana are the perfect hosts whenever their favourite stars are in town.

Last week we saw them entertaining Madonna at their nightclub, and here we see them dining out with Eva Mendes in Portofino, Italy.

I can’t help but be jealous of them looking so happy enjoying the sun when we have nothing but cloudy days here in London.

I’m also envious of Eva’s white Dolce & Gabbana eyelet dress.

Très chic.

Spotting: Cartier’s Star-Studded 100th Anniversary Party

It is one of the premiere names in luxury jewelry design, and last night the Cartier company celebrated its 100th Anniversary in America with a swanky soiree.

Kate Hudson and Demi Moore were spotted chatting it up at Cartier’s Fifth Avenue Mansion, both looking beautiful in black dresses with plenty of bling.

Other beautiful people who showed up to get in on the action were stars like Anne Hathaway, Eva Mendes, and Rachel Weisz.
