Diddy's Wax Figure

Diddy unveiled his wax doppleganger at Madame Tussauds New York.

Diddy spent more than an hour with a team of Madame Tussauds studio artists to start the creation process with him. The artists took hundreds of precise measurements and photos, to ensure exact matches for his eye color and skin tone.

Diddy also donated a replica of the outfit he wore in his I Am King fragrance ad, which includes a white Battistoni dinner jacket, black dinner trousers by Jones New York, Hugo Boss white tuxedo shirt, black Ferragamo shoes and a black bowtie, cufflinks and shirt studs by Pronto Uomo.

If you visit Diddy's wax figure and get close enough, you might catch a whiff of "unique masculine freshness, sparkling fruits and sensual woods"...because Diddy, being Diddy, provided Madame Tussauds with a bottle of I Am King to spray on his wax twin. Personally, I'm partial to Unforgivable, his first fragrance.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Salvatore Ferragamo Shoulder Bag

Salvatore Ferragamo is a silent warrior of meticulously created handbags. Typically the brand flies under the radar, much like Tod’s and Bottega Veneta, but the admiration for the craftsmanship remains. While many Ferragamo bags tend to be simple, the Salvatore Ferragamo Shoulder Bag is oh-so-lovely and touches on every aspect of a bag that I adore. First off, the soft Italian leather is a must and it is paired perfectly with a braided shoulder strap to add a nice dimension. The signature brass closure also has a small pouch attached, though it appears as if you can remove it. I simply love this bag. It caught my eye from the get-go and I still love it. It is different than most bags in my collection and can easily fit in with many outfits and occasions. Measurements are 15″W X 11″H X 3″D. Buy through Saks for $1490.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Salvatore Ferragamo Studded Jazz Satchel

Which is part of the reason that I like the Salvatore Ferragamo Studded Jazz Satchel: the petal effect of the cut leather is not something you or I see every day. It’s incredibly intricate (and for the price, I certainly hope it was done by hand) without taking away from the essential function of the bag, which is a trick that not all designers execute skillfully. Usually I’m not a fan of brown, but in this case, keeping the color neutral and unobtrusive was the wiser decision. Although, now that I think of it, the tiny studs are silver – wouldn’t this bag be cooler in black? It looks less industrial this way, though, and maybe that will appeal to a wider customer base. Still, black version? Please? Or maybe not, since it’s so hideously expensive that I can’t buy it anyway. Buy through Luisa Via Roma for $3845.

D.S Pick of the Day: Salvatore Ferragamo Suede Two-Tone Heel Pumps

The plum suede is gorgeous, and really we don’t see shoes in this shade enough. I love the sleek shape of this pump. It almost exudes “I’m a tough chick. Don’t f*$k with me!” The standout feature of this pump, though, is the sexy two-tone metallic heel! It compliments the plum suede perfectly and adds just a touch of sexy edge. I’m also glad to see some pumps lately sans platform. Don’t get me wrong—I love my platforms and for comfort, they are crucial! But there is just something so sexy about a pump with a stiletto heel and no platform. It makes the heel look longer and the appearance of the shoe is just more streamlined and less clunky. Unfortunately, I bet these shoes aren’t that comfy, or at least not as comfy as a pump with a platform, so don’t forgot your foot petals!

These pumps are the perfect addition to any career gal’s closet. They’ll be gorgeous with suits or more casual office attire, like a gray sweater dress. And don’t be afraid to throw them on with some dark jeans and a sweater after work! They’ll look chic no matter what you pair them with!
