In Nicole's closet: Proenza Schouler and Christian Louboutin

While posing in Paris, on February 25, Nicole Richie looked great in a Proenza Schouler spring 2010 ensemble.

I love this outfit mostly because Miss Richie wears a lot of black and this is very refreshing for me.

Her look is paired with Christian Louboutin "Romaine" platform sandals.
She was also seen striking a few poses in a Burberry Prorsum spring 2010 frosted pink trench coat.

Hopefully this means Nicole will be gracing the cover of a French magazine soon.

Nicole posing in the rain

Nicole Richie was spotted out in Paris for a photo shoot despite the heavy rainfall, on February 25.

She was in Paris to promote her Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 designs.

From these candids it looks like we have another Nicole Richie magazine to look forward to.

Nicole looked adorable in that Burberry Prorsum sugar pink trench coat.

Burberry Tumbled Leather Espadrille

I love spring and summer shoes because many of them, like these Burberry Leather Espadrilles, are casual and fun. They let you show off your pedicure, and they are also often less expensive.

Espadrilles are always a bit flirty and fun, and I love the way the leather drapes and ties around the foot on this shoe. The platform and wedge heel are in perfect balance—there’s nothing worse than a wedge with too low of a heel. It’s just awkward looking.

The black and white is very chic, and it will look fabulous with brightly colored, casual dresses. Because of the leather upper of the espadrille, these shoes would also look really cute with skinny jeans and a leather jacket.

My only complaint is…yes, you guessed it! The Burberry plaque drives me insane, but it’s not as glaringly obvious as it could have been!

Designer Shoes: Pick of the Day: Puddle Jumping in Burberry Rain Boots

What a better way to complement your Burberry trench than with a pair of sleek Burberry rain boots? I have a couple pair of Hunter wellie rain boots, the originals made in Scotland. I wear them with skinny jeans and leggings with sweater during the rainy season. I often wish my Hunter wellies were a little more sophisticated and polished. That’s why I love these Burberry rainboots. Each of these three styles is waterproof and great for sloshing thru puddles, yet chic enough to wear with my black Burberry trench.

First up are the Burberry Lace-up Wellington boots ($325 at Net-a-Porter.com) which look like a riding boot with the laced up front. Adorable and perfect for tucking skinny jeans into and with black leggings as well. I’d wear these to a weekend on the Sonoma coast and for pony rides in the country with my daughter. The grey Burberry Large Check Rain Boots ($195.00 at Bloomingdales.com) are also appealing. I love the neutral grey tones and subtle Burberry signature plaid. These would look great with my gray Michael Kors chunky knit over-sized sweater and black leggings. In case I decide to hop on the moto trend this fall, these Burberry Patent Chain Rainboots ($395.00 at Burberry.com) would be perfect. I’d wear these with my Alexander Wang motorcycle vest when I’m out and about running weekend errands, just incase it happens to rain. Overall I think I’ll go for the lace-up boots, they’re on my shopping list for fall must-haves.

IT bag $$$

The newest IT bag, for those who can afford it, is the Burberry 'Alligator' Warrior bag. This bag will retail at $22,000/£13,000 and I can't see why. OK the alligator skin has a lot to do with it, but even if I had that kind of money to spend on this bag, I would not. Even a standard Birkin does not cost that much.

We should not be surprised at the growing retail price of bags, considering Chanel sold it's 'Forever' bag, - also cut from alligator skin and studded with 334 diamonds - for a staggering $261,000/£130,000.

And last year, we were all shocked when Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork bag, a creation that earned the nickname "Frankenstein's monster" in the fashion press, still retailed at $46,000/£23,000 and sold out.

So who is buying these bag?

Well according to the Independent newspaper, Burberry's orders for this bag come mostly from the Middle East, Russia and Texas.

If you are interested in putting down 22K for this Burberry bag, you can pre-order it on Burberry's US Website. All the bags sold out, but only Beyonce was photographed carrying it.
