Two words: Textured legwear. You can't do much about having to wear a coat, but eventually, one would hope, you'll take it off—unless your date plans on taking you camping, which, seriously, I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Even a visible seam is a little passé when you can have legwear in a python pattern. Urban Outfitters has snake-eye design for way less. (Yes, the reptile as a muse is stylishly groundbreaking in the tights world. Jewelry? Not so much.) All you have to do next is throw on little cocktail dress and a pair of hot shoes in an unexpected color.
