D.S Pick of the Day: Giuseppe Zanotti Metallic Pump

The pewter patent leather is fabulous. It’s a great alternative to silver. Actually I prefer it more because silver leather can go garish at times. My favorite part of this pump is the way the leather is shaped at the vamp and toe. I just love the way it looks. I also love the contrast of the silver heel with the pewter.

Metallic really does go with everything, and should be treated as a neutral. I would pair these sleek pumps with everything from dark denim (hot!) to dresses in any style and color. These pumps will take you through the season and beyond!

D.S Pick of the Day: Givenchy Zipper Ankle Sandals

These Givenchy Zipper Ankle Sandals look somewhat biker themed with a definite chic vibe. The black leather with silver zippers looks like something I would wear sitting on the back of a hot guy’s Harley. The chunky heel, platform and ankle strap really add to the moto effect that I have in my head.

Made of gorgeous black leather, these shoes are anything but basic. In fact, they are really edgy with a very rough look to them. The zipper along the top and bottom of the ankle strap looks super rugged and the zipper looks like it could unravel along the shoe, for a faux torn and tattered look. With super skinny black jeans and a black top, with maybe even, shall I say, a black leather jacket, I will definitely look like quite the biker chick. But I can always tone them down with some blue jeans and a black tank top. Either way, these shoes are definitely going to be added to the black shoe collection, so easy to wear, but so much fun.

D.S Pick of the Day: Sergio Rossi “Perrys” Platform Pump

For more casual looks (and certainly more comfy), I love round-toe pumps with really thick heels. This Sergio Rossi platform pump is very chic, and it will be a great addition to your shoe wardrobe!


I usually have mixed feelings on snake-embossed leather. Most of the time, I would prefer either real skin or just plain leather because the snake-embossed leather can look really fake at times, but I like the look of this pump. This shoe is available in the black, but also a dark gray, which is also a really beautiful color.

I would probably pair these pumps mostly with jeans or trousers for a dressed-up daytime look, but they’ll work with skirts and dresses as well.
