I love awards season!! The Oscars are probably my favorite awards ceremony of the season... so many superstars walking down the red carpet in dresses to die for!! My favorite look from recent years is the Versace gown Penelope Cruz wore to the 2007 ceremony. It was perfectly form fitting, such a gorgeous color that really set off her skin tone, her hair was elegant and perfectly swept back and she wore just the right amount of jewelry. Total perfection!

Kourt, Khloe and I are teaming up with Celebuzz to do a fabulous Oscars giveaway!! We each picked our favorite dresses and the Celebuzz team photoshopped our heads on to each red carpet photo to see how we would look! Haha! Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Versace Socialite Satchel

The color of this bag is nice, as are the bold hardware details at the handle attachments, but I’m just not loving anything else. I want slouch and style, not insane rigidity and over-designed pockets. If they could take some of the elements here and work them into something that feels more relevant to current styles, they may have a huge winner. Buy through Nordstrom for $3600.

D.S Pick of the Day: Versace Patent-Leather Peep-Toe Pump

Versace really ups the ante with this incredibly sexy patent-leather peep-toe pump!


There is just something about this pump that just oozes sexuality, but it’s not over the top or tacky. I love the patent leather, and the sleek look of this pump. The thicker covered platform is sexy, but it’s done in a subtle way so that it doesn’t take away from the elegant shoe.

These pumps are a great investment because you really can wear them with everything. They’ll look super sexy with skinny jeans and a slinky top, but they’ll also work (and will add a little va va voom to) with business attire or more classic dresses.

Handbag ~ Pick of the Day: Versace Venus Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag

Versace Venus Ostrich Stamped Patent Bag is overpriced. First of all, this is ostriched-stamped shiny patent leather! Ostrich-stamped folks. Sure, the bag looks extremely textured, but to me, not in a good way. The handles are also patent leather which attach to the patent leather bag with chain link shoulder straps. And let me say one more thing, that sure is a lot of patent leather. Satin lining makes my heart happy. Ok, yes, I can picture plenty of people sporting this bag, but not this girl. With the kind of price tag associated to this patent leather bag, would you buy it? If so, you can buy it through eLuxury for $2,880.

Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet in not only colour, but this season colour, nude. Her chiffon one-sleeved Versace Fall 2008 gown, is so beautiful, delicate and feminine, yet she's still exudes her usual sex appeal.

I LOVE the Atelier Versace Fall 2008 dress the most. This dress spiderweb-esqe one-shouldered embellished gown, was my favourite gowns from Donatella's Fall 2008 Atelier collection. Charlize wore this dress to her premiere of The Burning Plain.

Versace do not normally have a runway show for their Couture (Atelier) collection, but on this occasion they included Donatella's illustrations with the Couture photographs on the Versace website.

For me this Fall 2008 collection is not as spectacular as the Spring 2008 collection, which saw 6 of the 15 gowns appear on the red carpet.

Of course all of these 17 gowns have red carpet potential, especially the gold lame striped gown, the black strapless gown with a star detail on the hip, and the one-shouldered see-through gown that looks like a spiders web above.

But I am slightly disappointed as some of the gowns look better as illustrations.

This is Eva Longoria's second stunning Versace Couture Spring 2008 gown. This gorgeous one-shoulder ivory gown has silver beaded accents, which the actress wore with silver shoes.

It is Victoria Beckham's 34th birthday, so to kick of the celebrations early, she dined with her husband, Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, and her husband Len Wiseman at Beso, Longoria's Latin-America restaurant in Hollywood.

Victoria looks stunning, as always, in a cobalt blue Verasce Spring 2008 mini dress.

I know the "matchy police" will say that the dress, the shoes and the clutch all matching in cobalt blue is too much, but I do like her look here.

Versace's Spring Advertising Campaign With Giesele Bunchen

In Vogue UK today there is a second ad from Gisele Bündchen's Spring 2008 advertising Campaign.

I showed you the first pictures, which I prefer to these, but these are beautiful.

Last week someone wrote into say that the shoes in this Versace campaign are NOT Christian Louboutin. Well they look very much like Louboutin's to me with the trademark red heel and sole.

Gisele Bündchen and Kate Moss swapped campaigns this season. Last season Gisele Bündchen was the face of YSL and Kate Moss was the face of Versace. I love colour scheme of these ads. They not so in your face and loud like previous campaigns. They are more soft and subtle, yet still fierce and sexy. Her legs are amazing and I want those Louboutin's.

This is some of Gisele Bündchen best work.

Donatella casting of this ad was a masterstroke because I have never really considered buying Versace bags or shoes, but this campaign has ensured that I will be going to check them out.

Those strappy shoes need a place in my closet.
