Nicole Richie's Blog: Nicole leaving a hair salon

Nicole Richie was spotted leaving a hair salon, on November 9, wearing a black dress with opaque tights and her Stella McCarthey denim military jacket.

She completed the look with a killer pair of black Christian Louboutin "Miss" ankle boots, a cream scarf and chic shades.

Final touch: her vintage quilted Chanel bag.

Designer Shoe: Pick of the Day: Christian Louboutin Bow Ballerina Flat

This ballet flat is just adorable, and it really looks like a dancer’s shoe. I love the square toe and the little bow. And the red hue is captivating and perfect for the holiday season!

These are shoes that you can wear with anything! They are very chic, but more importantly comfortable, so perfect for those days when you need to look cute, but will be on your feet. They’ll look adorable with dresses, skirts, jeans and more.

Designer Shoe of the Day: Christian Louboutin “Declic” Glitter Pumps

If The Shoe Goddess had an “official” shoe, this Christian Louboutin “Declic” pump would certainly be a contender! Honestly, can it get any better than a pink glitter loubie? I don’t think so!

The Declic is one of my favorite loubie styles. It’s incredibly sexy! And in pink glitter, it’s just to die for! I also really love the shade of the pink…it’s the perfect hue!

Now, I know some of you may be thinking that there is no way you could wear pink glitter! But trust me! This pump is chic and sophisticated, and the glitter just gives it a little glitz, but it is in no way gaudy at all! I would actually pair these pumps with a lot in my wardrobe. They’ll look fabulous with dresses for an evening look, but I’d also pair them with skinny jeans to give an otherwise boring outfit a pop of color!

Christian Louboutin Brigette 140 platform shoe boots

Although our visit of Christian Louboutin’s store was a little disappointing (not because the shoes are not nice, just because there is way more styles in the USA which is not surprising since America is the largest market for Christian Louboutin.)

My pick of the week is, well, another pair of Loubies! I just see these shoes as a masterpiece, not necessarily wearable, but definitely a collectible. I mean of course they will look absolutely fabulous with black, grey or plum and the mix of python and lace adds a very special and precious feel to these shoes.

Designer Shoe of the Day: Christian Louboutin Nitoinimoi Boots

For Fall 2009, it seems as though a lot of designers are showcasing shows with many large buckles, and of course, no one does it better than Christian Louboutin in his Nitoinimoi Boots. These boots are a serious power statement and will definitely raise anyone’s confidence level.

But of course, one doesn’t need to be a CEO to wear these powerful shoes. But because these shoes are incredibly tough, it would be crucial to wear these shoes with a much more feminine outfit, like a flowy dress or jeans with a chiffon blouse so as not to over-do the tough girl look.

The best part about these shoes is the juxtaposition between the leather straps and the suede shoe. It certainly tones down the hardness that this shoe could be had it been made completely in leather. While I definitely love these shoes, it is certainly a look that must be carried out with a great amount of swagger and confidence.

Designer Shoe of the Day: Christian Louboutin Velvet and Ostrich Ankle Boots

I have to admit that I really don’t like ostrich skin. It reminds me of goose pimples and totally grosses me out! I always picture a huge bird (the big bird thing came after I was chased by a swan when I was 5 years old, and ran in circles for a good 20 minutes with the freaking bird running after me trying to bite me!)

Anyway, you know the common saying that “simple is always best”? Well, unfortunately that is not the case when it comes to these ankle boots, because they are certainly not simple!
