Style Watch: Fur Flies at Fashion Week

Fur is dangerous. It can make you look like a bear, a little girl playing dress-up or Cruella De Vil. But worn correctly, fur is unarguably glam. So it's no wonder there have been pelts aplenty during Fashion Week—both on and off the runway.

As an animal lover, I would never don the real thing. Surprisingly, Victoria Beckham feels the same way! She arrived at JFK in a fake chubby and then departed Fashion Week in this faux slouchy jacket.

Prefer retro glamour like Becki Newton, seen here at Patricia Field's birthday bash? Simply add a brooch to a cropped version. It's a perfectly chic solution for staying warm in one of spring's trendy sheer dresses.

Style Watch: Suit Up in Style

When A-listers need a break from frilly frocks, they slip into elegant pantsuits. Wearing a peekaboo bra (Bonnie Somerville) or even a tank (Jennifer Aniston) under a buttoned blazer is super-sexy, because it gives the illusion of a plunging neckline. (Layered necklaces also add to the effect.) For a more relaxed look, take inspiration from Penélope Cruz, who opted for a baggy style and wore her jacket open with a lightweight blouse. Want to follow suit? Browse through the steals 'n' splurges below.

Style: Jennifer Anniston Loves Layered Necklaces

Jennifer Aniston has certainly stepped it up in the style department this year. We've already given her kudos for experimenting with color and prints—and now it's time to recognize her globe-trotting accessorizing abilities.

In L.A., Jen jazzed up a Burberry tux with an assortment of Fred Leighton antique gold and jeweled necklaces. She then repeated the layered look for a guest appearance on Germany's TV show Wetten, Dass…?. And just this week in London, the actress piled Solange Azagury-Partridge necklaces atop a blue Burberry gown.

Kim K's Blog: The Perfect Sunday in NYC

"I had the perfect Sunday in New York City! I started my day off with the fabulous BJ Coleman eating at one of my favorite New York restaurants, Cipriani in downtown Soho. After we ate we met up with the stunning Chanel Iman, and her best friend Heidi! We shopped and got annoyed at the paparazzi following us, so we took pics of them! Then Adrienne met up with us and we all got our nails done.

Notice the outfit change! Chanel and Heidi were looking way too cute, so I had to buy a new outfit and change to match them better. A true diva they said! haha" from kimmie's offical blog.

GOLF LOVERs.....

Men love to golf. Will women ever understand it fully? Probably not, since golfing isn’t typically the woman’s sport of choice. What I do know is that men will drop thousands of dollars on golf clubs, bags, shoes, balls, etc. Treat your golfin’ man with this exquisite goodie:

The Fontanelli Golfball Holder was made in mind for the man or woman who adores the perfectly cut greens and Tiger Woods. This piece has room for four balls, four tees and also a snap on the back to attach it to your belt. When it comes time for that one perfect shot, what better way to start it off than with the prized ball nicely resting in an Italian leather case.

The holder is italian-made of fine, dark brown leather and goes over the counter for 65 bucks.

Designers Worst Nightmare: The Counterfeit Market

It would be a blatant lie if any girl were to say she does not want at least one top of the line designer handbag. But reality sets in, and the thoughts of spending thousands on some fabric and a zipper seems to make everyone cringe and only lust for the bag more.

Why spend $5,000 on a designer Prada clutch, when you can buy it for $50 on the streets of NYC? Although many want to sport the latest and most expensive handbag, most cannot afford it. So this is where replicas come in. Is a replica purse actually a morality issue?

purse rentals??

Movie rentals, tux rentals, car rentals and now purse rentals?? Seems totally outlandish, but actually who came up with such a brilliant idea? Although we all want to be like the famous quad from Sex and the City, face it girls, we can’t always have a different bag for a different day, attitude, outfit, and occasion.

So the brains behind Bag, Borrow or Steal have devised a one of a kind idea in purse rental. You can either sign up for Diva, Princess, or Trendsetter status; Diva being the most expensive bags. Within your status (determined by the price you pay for your monthly fee) you can rent a bag for as long as you want. And when you decide you need a change, send the bag back and choose a new bag. The idea behind the concept appeals to the girls who want to keep up with the always changing purse trend for each new season.

Kim K's Favorite: Best bronzer

From Kim's blog
I love this bronzer and use it all over my face and my cheekbones to give me definition but also color.

It's by Smash Box and it's called Bronze Lights. I get it in the Suntan Matte shade.

I think it's important to have a great matte bronzer that doesn't have shimmer in it because sometimes shimmer can make you look oily.

I use a smaller brush to contour my cheekbones and then use a bigger powder brush to give me a little color on my forehead and nose.

I am a huge fan of Smash Box and this bronzer. By the way, Smashbox cosmetics is owned by Davis Factor who is also the photographer who shot my Bongo jeans campaign!

Have you used this bronzer? I have it but haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Kim Kardashian Make Up Lesson

STEP 1: Kim washes her face, applies moisturizer, then applies Intuit Beauty Photo Shoot makeup primer.

STEP 2: To conceal imperfections, Kim uses Cle De Peau Concealer Stick in Ocre or MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer in NW25 if she runs out of Cle de Peau.

STEP 3: After Kim puts the concealer on, she applies Make Up For Ever Liquid Foundation – she mixes one pump of No. 5 and two pumps of No. 4 (she uses No. 3 for the winter months, when she’s paler). To blend and apply the foundation for a seamless finish, Kim uses MAC Brush 180 (Small Buffer Brush).

STEP 4: Since she hates dark circles, after the foundation, she puts on a little more concealer just under her eyes. For this step, Kim prefers MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer in NW30.

STEP 5: To set the foundation, Kim lightly applies MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC 30 with a brush. Then to tan it up, she lightly brushes on MAC Select/Sheer Powder in NW 45.

STEP 6: Kim is “obsessed with blush” and uses MAC Powder Blush in Gingerly. She also mentions her new love for cream blush, saying that it “works a lot better and lasts a lost longer.” I agree.

STEP 7: Now, time for the eyes - Kim’s favorite part. First, Kim applies MAC Paint Pot in Painterly to the entire lid, using her fingers; this prevents powder eye shadow from creasing. Kim loves colored shadow. If she going for a black smoky look, she uses MAC Eye Shadow in Carbon. If she wants a gray smoky eye, she uses Knight Divine or Print. For a brown smoky eye, Kim likes Embark. For a fresh, shimmery eye, she chooses MAC Pigment in Tan. Kim also does bright eye colors, and loves vivid shadows from Make Up For Ever. “I don't think anyone does pigment colors better than them,” she says.

STEP 8: Kim always uses black pencil eyeliner. Her favorite is Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Onyx.

STEP 9: Kim applies Lancome Hypnose Mascara, then layers on MAC Zoom Lash on top. She always uses a separator brush to prevent clumps, and only wears falsies for photo shoots because she's clueless about how to apply them.

STEP 10: Kim lightly lines lips with MAC Lip Pencil Stripdown (what a coincidence) then swipes on MAC Lipstick in Angel. Then she applies NARS Turkish Delight Lip Gloss on top. For a very nude matte lip, she lines with MAC Subculture Lip Pencil and tops it off with NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Belle De Jour.

Kim K's Favorite: A Perfect World from Orgins

From Kim's blog:
Anti-oxidants are so important for good skin, and that's why I'm a fan of Origins' A Perfect World. This moisturizer contains white tea, which is among the most powerful antioxidants
and anti-stress antidotes (and who can't use a little anti-stress treatment every now and then!?)

What's cool is that through April, every time you purchase A Perfect World Antioxidant moisturizer with White Tea, Origins will plant a tree on your behalf, through Global Releaf. So you're helping out your skin and the world! Each tree planted helps to reduce air pollution, clean our water and lower energy costs.

Spotting Kim K: The Grove

Out for a fun-filled evening, Kim Kardashian was spotted leaving The Grove after checking out a concert by The Bolts and Ballas Hough band last night April 14th.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” hottie looked casual-yet-sexy in her pink jacket overtop a black tank top with black stretch pants and sneakers.

Designer Handbag of the Week: Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Cosmetic Pouch MM

I’ve been on the look recently for a very tiny pouch or wristlet to use as a clutch. I want something small enough to fit easily in my hand that will hold only the very essentials - house key, car key, ID, cash, phone. But the phone is where I’m hitting an impasse, because I have an enormous Blackberry with an even more enormous clear plastic shell to keep it safe. So I’ve decided to get a bit creative in my current search, and this morning came across something that could potentially work very well - the Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Cosmetic Pouch MM. I realize that it’s meant to hold lipsticks and whatnot inside of a larger bag, but since it doesn’t have cosmetic pouch emblazoned on it anywhere, I doubt anyone would know the difference. At any rate, it looks like it’s just small enough to fit in my hand while being just big enough to contain my giant brick of a phone, and it zips all the way across the top, lest I drop it or hit anyone in the head with it. Perfect! On top of all that, amarante is my favorite color of LV vernis ever and would go really well with all the black I tend to wear. Now if only LV ever went on sale. orginal price$450.
